Who we are
The Lash Lounge by Shanie Smith is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us at thelashloungeex@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you request an appointment I collect your name and email address, and — if you give them — your phone number, the treatment you want, the dates you would prefer, and anything you tell me in the message box. If you mention an allergy or a sensitivity, I use that only to carry out your treatment safely. I do not collect anything else, and I do not use tracking cookies.
Why we use it
Solely to arrange and carry out your appointment. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (replying to someone who has contacted us) and, where relevant, performance of a contract. We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing you didn’t ask for.
Who else sees it
Enquiries are stored securely with Supabase, and this website is hosted by Vercel. Both act as processors on our behalf. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Appointment requests that don’t go ahead are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for six years to meet UK accounting requirements.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email thelashloungeex@gmail.com and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re not happy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
