About Shanie

I'm Shanie, and The Lash Lounge is mine — every set that leaves this room was applied by me. I trained through Level 2 and Level 3 Beauty Therapy and went on to complete the Level 4 extended qualification, because I'd rather understand what I'm doing to someone's natural lashes than simply follow a pattern.

I first opened in July 2021, offering nails, brows, lash lifts and tints, waxing, facials and massage. I had qualified in eyelash extensions back in 2019 at college and always intended to add them in once I felt ready — and by that October, I took the jump.

Stepping back from everything else to focus on lashes is the best decision I have made. It very quickly became my favourite treatment to do, and the one I wanted to build the whole business around.

Most of my clients have been coming for years, which is the part I'm proudest of. You get the same person every appointment, in a private room, and I'll always tell you honestly if what you're asking for isn't right for your lashes.

Looking back, it has turned into something far bigger than I expected — a community, a career, and honestly, a blessing.
